TOMATOES
The annual total production of tomatoes is estimated 124,445 tons in the West Bank, representing 23% of total production. Accordingly, tomatoes constitute 1.5% of total agricultural land cultivated in the West Bank.
CITRUS
Citrus fruits constitute 1.2% of total agricultural land cultivated in the West Bank. Furthermore, the annual total production of citrus fruits is estimated at 19,430 tons in the West Bank.
PALM
Date palm cultivation is dominant in Jericho-Al Ghoor. According to PCBS, date fruit production reached 5000 tons in 2015 and became an important export commodity for the Palestinian economy.
OLIVE
Olive trees are the prominent fruit trees throughout Palestine, covering about 72% of areas devoted to fruit trees and contributing about 30% of the total fruit production.
WHEAT
THYME
Over the past decade, there has been a dramatic increase in thyme cultivation in the West Bank. Thyme cultivating is much more profitable because it is grown year round, requires less fertilizer and pesticides and requires less labor than other crops.
